RESOLVED

that Councillor Jason Zadrozny be appointed as Chairman for the duration of the meeting.

No declarations of interest were made.

RESOLVED

that the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 21 June 2023, as now submitted, be received and approved.

Committee Members were requested to approve the arrangements for the appointment of the Executive Director, Operations and the Assistant Director, Neighbourhoods, as presented.

RESOLVED that

a)    the Chief Executive be authorised to commence an external recruitment process for the appointment of a permanent Executive Director, Operations, as set out in the report;

b)    delegated authority be granted to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to finalise any updates needed to the Job Description and Person Specification for the role of Executive Director, Operations, as attached to the report at Appendix 1;

c)    the Chief Executive be authorised to commence an external recruitment process for the appointment of a permanent Assistant Director, Neighbourhoods, as set out in the report;

d)    the Job Description and Person Specification for the role of Assistant Director, Neighbourhoods, as attached to the report at Appendix 2, be confirmed and delegated authority be granted to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to finalise any updates that are needed;

e)    an exception to Contract Procedure Rules 17.6.1 due to urgency be authorised, to seek to engage a Recruitment Agency without carrying out a tender exercise;

f)     delegated authority be granted to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to appoint the successful Recruitment Agency;

g)    the indicative timelines set out in the report be approved and delegated authority be granted to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to finalise dates in due course.
